Services

Mercantile is a professional services company.
We engage in regular market analysis on all major crops grown in Western Canada. Mercantile generates ‘private label market intelligence’ that is designed to help our clients maximise returns from agricultural markets.
We work for farmers, governments, NGOs, and commercial enterprises engaged in the agricultural industry
Farm level analysis and marketing advice
Mercantile provides farmers with independent international market intelligence that is translated back to the farm gate. Our intelligence is current, reliable and applicable.
Regularly covered are major international grains and oilseeds, Canadian grains and oilseeds, special crop markets.
The advice relates to timing of sales relative to farm cash-flow requirements and optimization of crop returns. It aims to significantly lower production and marketing risk. Our base intelligence covers everything from COP to CIF pricing.
Mercantile notes that independent advice that is removed from in-house positions and incentives is increasingly important to Canadian farmers.
This is a custom service. Mercantile also offers a subscription based Market Commentary every week. Learn more in our products.
